WHAT. CAN I SAY. ABOUT UBBI DUBBI 2023.

It was a festival done right.

Ubbi Dubbi had been plagued by issues for the last couple of years, but issues are expected when you try to do very ambition things. In 2021 when Ubbi Dubbi was set to be the first festival back from the pandemic, it saw traffic issues with festival goers missing more than half the day trying to just get to the festival. In 2022 they moved locations but sadly mother nature had other plans and day 2 of the festival had to be cancelled due to rain. I could feel that 2023 was going to be the year! After all 3rd times the charm, right?

Ubbi Dubbi 2023 was held this past weekend in Fort Worth, TX at the Panther Island

Pavilion. The 2-day festival had a lineup that included many different genres of electronic music with artists ranging from Blossom, Disco Lines, Deorro, Dr Fresch, Kaskade, Zomboy, Rezz, San Holo, Timmy Trumpet and many many more. The festival was also not short of bars and food vendors. Various merch stands such as artist clothing, fans, pashminas, and crystal shops were also set up throughout the festival grounds.

All in all, getting into the festival was quick and easy to navigate once you got in. This year the festival had more art and lighting instillations set up. Walking around the festival there was never an area that felt bare or without purpose. The stage designs had a lot more production to them than in previous years. One thing that was for sure was that this year they also did not skimp out on the fireworks. There’s something about Kaskade ending the show day one to a massive display of fireworks that will forever stay with you. But my favorite thing had to have been the drone show both days. Never had they had that at Ubbi Dubbi and the crowd went wild once they flew up. I’d say that it is safe to say that the curse the festival seemed to have been facing the past 2 years has finally been lifted.

Cannot wait for next year.
