The Shambhala Journey

A journey like no other. Shambhala Music Festival takes place in Salmo River Ranch British Colombia, Canada every year. This 4 day festival showcases 6 stages with some of the top dance music artists on their line up but that is not what is going to make this festival the unique experience that it is.

Soundhaven was invited to attend this year and the major take away from this festival is going to be the word radical.

The festival focuses heavily on community. Many of the festival attendees have been going to the fesitval for many year and throughout the festival grounds you will find many community events. They range from yoga, meditation, body positivity workshops, flow dance workshops, hoop lessons, and many many more. Even curating the festival has remained a sacred ritual. While talking to production teams, they revealed that each stage of the festival is designed by an independent team. This makes each stage a unique experience.

This is also not the place to feel shy or self-concious. The community encourages self expression on the highest level. Its not about going to this festival trying to fit in but fitting out as much as you can. Being the most genuine you as possible. By staying this open, you allow yourself to experience the true Shambhala message and meet people just as open as you.
