As time goes on, the more and more the Rio Grande Valley wants to just dance. Several years ago there would be EDM names coming down but it was ever so often a big name here and there would come. UME, Life in Color or Winter Fantasy are some of the major events that would draw in the biggest crowds by bringing down names like Tiesto, Steve Aoki or Alesso. Now it is not uncommon to see several events going on in the same weekend with some of those events being produced by local talent.

This past Thanksgiving Week is a prime example of how much the dance scene has grown in the RGV. The week started of Wednesday night with "House Music All Night Long." A collaborate effort produced by Upbeat Entertainment and 76 Bar & Grill in McAllen, TX and featuring all local talent.

As the week rolled into the weekend, 2 EDM heavyweights made the crowds dance. Lee Foss took the decks at Elevate Nightclub. An event produced by Dynamic TX Entertainment, Side Room, & 3G Entertainment. A few blocks down, Acraze was also dropping beats at Bisou McAllen. Both of these events were backed up by local talent as well.

It is amazing to see how much the scene has grown and changed throughout the years. I am incredibly grateful for my camera to be let in so that I can continue to share glimpses of this vibrant culture.

Check out shots from this past week below. Special shoutout to Upbeat Entertainment, Dynamic Entertainment and all the local artists for allowing me these captures.
