Tomorrowland 31.12.2020 helped usher in 2021 in the most dazzling, immersive, detailed, and eye-catching virtual festival EVER!!! This year Tomorrowland could not take place in the flesh, but they were able to create a virtual experience that was just as magical. Tomorrowland 31.12.2020 consisted of 4 main stages: Melodia, Atmosphere, Planaxis and Pulse. The linue up was of over 25 DJs such as Lost Frequencies, Charlotte de Witte, Tchami, Diplo, CAMELPHAT, and even a special set by Jack Back. Jack Back is David Guetta’s dark underground alias that has shown a different side of the artist.

All-in-all the event consisted of 1,200 virtual fireworks, 2,750 virtual lights, 184 virtual lasers, a million virtual visitors and 160 hours of footage. All of this was made possible by NAOZ. NAOZ is a digital entertainment venue that was debuted by Tomorrowland and promises to bring the best of 3D design, video production and special effects. The platform also adapted to 27 different time zones in order to bring each person the same experience at midnight no matter where in the world they were located.

I was completely blown away by the sets! There were a lot of new tracks that were released and combined with the beautiful worlds that were created, it made it hard to look away from the screen. I love how they re-introduced past themes such as referencing “The Secret Kingdom of Melodia” (2015) and “The Story of Planaxis” (2018). This got me excited to see where Tomorrowland will take their stage set-ups in the future.
